My child has special dietary requirements how do you deal with this?
With a two week rotary menu we try to meet the needs of all the children within the nursery taking into account any special requirements. If there is any item on the menu that concerns you please inform a member of staff to allow us to make sure a more suitable alternative is provided.
How long have the staff been working here?
The majority of our staff have been at the nursery for over two years. As a result the children have had continuity and have blossomed in this comfortable working environment.
How do you deal with behaviour issues?
At ‘The Little Village Nursery’ we work on praising good behaviour with this being the example if any child shows difficult or challenging behaviour. If a child does show continuously difficult behaviour we try to understand the problem rather than reprimand.
How will I know how my child is getting on?
At the end of each day our Key Workers make themselves approachable to discuss your child’s performance on a day to day basis, with our baby room, pre-school and toddler staff providing a detailed report on events throughout the day. At the entrance to the nursery we provide plans and boards to demonstrate what the children have been doing throughout the day. Each child also has a Learning Journey file which is available to all parents and cares at any time to take home and read.
